Salutation to Sadāśiva with the Mother

ॐ साम्बसदाशिवाय नमः
मूल Original text
ॐ साम्बसदाशिवाय नमः
oṃ sāmba-sadāśivāya namaḥ
अनुवाद Translation — by Om Namah Shivay

Oṃ. Salutation to Sadāśiva, the ever-auspicious, together with the Mother.

भाष्य Explanation — our commentary, not scripture

Sāmba is sa-Ambā, “with Ambā”: the mantra never salutes Śiva alone, but always Śiva and Pārvatī together.

The Gita Press edition of the Śiva Purāṇa prints “śrī-sāmba-sadāśivāya namaḥ” at the head of each Saṃhitā; the mantra is especially loved in the south.
